Tim Grant, Transaction Services Manager at our Old Orchard Beach branch, is celebrating 30 Years at SBSI this month!
After graduating high school in1986, Tim worked at Zahares IGA in Old Orchard Beach. The store banked with SBSI, so Tim would regularly visit the Bank to drop off deposits and pick up coin orders.
During this time, he also became a customer of the bank, so he frequently found himself visiting our OOB branch. Each time he visited, Tim was encouraged by Rosalie Grant, Carolyn Lamontagne, Barbara Blais, and Pauline Gordon—employees who worked at the bank at the time—to apply for a job.
So in 1995, Tim took their advice and applied, and 30 years later, he’s built a long and successful career with us.
“I started off my career here working as a Teller. I began working as a Customer Service Representative in 1998, and transitioned into the role of Transaction Services Manager in 2003, and it’s the role I’ve been working in for the past 20+ years.
I was born and raised in Saco, but I've worked in Old Orchard Beach for over 30 years so it truly feels like home here to me. I love our community and I love our customers, they are like family. I also really enjoy working for the Bank because they treat their employees very well.
SBSI is a great place to work. I can honestly say I love coming to work every day. Of course, I also love my time off, but it’s nice to be part of a team that feels like family and to know I’m making a positive impact in the community.
Outside of work, I love going on vacations with my wife, brother and sister-in-law. Through the years, the four of us have done so much traveling together and I really cherish those memories. I also love cuddling with my dog Yoda, spending quality time with my wife and family, playing cards, bingo and reading. I always have a book with me.”
