Deb Argetes is celebrating her 10-year work anniversary at SBSI!
Deb’s journey with us began in 2014, when her dear friend Steph Paquet (who also works at SBSI) mentioned we were hiring. At the time, Deb was working at a credit union, but felt like it wasn't the right fit for her and was ready to start something new. After an interview at our Old Orchard Beach branch, she secured a position and has been working there ever since.
Already familiar with some colleagues from working in the banking industry through the years, Deb was drawn to SBSI by its reputation as a wonderful place to work. Her encounters with employees at various branches reinforced this impression, leading her to join the team.
Throughout her tenure, Deb has embraced various roles. She cherishes her time at the drive-up window, where she connects with customers and their families. Deb's warmth and kindness shine through in each interaction.
She values the personal connections she forms, often inquiring about their families and sharing in their joys and challenges. Her ability to remember details about their lives makes them feel valued and cared for.
Outside of work, Deb's life is a tapestry of social connections. Whether dining out, reading, or spending time with friends, she thrives on the energy of those around her. Her love for people is a testament to her upbringing in a large, social family, where every encounter was an opportunity to connect.
