Meet Dr. Lee Rodems, a General Dentist at Community Dental in Biddeford and Portland!
Dr. Rodems hails from Saratoga Spring, New York. She pursued her dental education at the University of Pittsburgh and spent a few subsequent years in West Virginia. It was there that she completed a general practice residency at West Virginia University (WVU).
Before moving to Portland, she worked at a private practice and a community health center in Pennsylvania. She now resides in Portland with her fiance and their dog, GiGi.
As a general dentist, Dr. Rodems provides comprehensive care to patients of all ages, including individuals with special needs.
Her role involves addressing a broad range of dental requirements and referring patients to specialized treatment as necessary.
Her interest in dentistry was sparked by a unique high school program called "New Visions" where she shadowed health care providers three days a week.
The prospect of helping people, working manually and alleviating pain all day ignited an enduring passion within her.
This profession became even more rewarding with her growing involvement in public health during dental school, especially upon realizing the prevalent lack of access to dental care among numerous individuals.
Professionally, Dr. Rodems greatly appreciates the camaraderie among fellow dentists.
Her experience in public-oriented dentistry at the community health center and interactions with special needs patients, which began during her residency at WVU, continue to be key facets of her work at Community Dental.
